[multi_index] Sorting object based on some specified criteria !!

Hi all, I have following kind of class and having some identifier and group id associated with particular procedure. I want to know if I have to get the procedures relating particular group for ex. (groupId == 1). How do I do using multiindex container? Can somebody please give me some hint or code if they have done something similar to what I want to do? However i get this error... cannot call member function `typename _Alloc::reference std::vector<_Tp, _Alloc>::back() [with _Tp = std::string, _Alloc = std::allocator<std::string>]' without object

I would look at Boost.Variant and see if that would work for you. Any is designed primarily for libraries that need to carry data for clients and give it back later without having to know anything about the type. is there a better way to compare 2 stl list? question on using any.

Any ideas on how to store the type of an object stored in an any instance for later use in comparisons (like <, >, ==, etc)? I don't want to store an instance of the class unless necessary. I thought about storing a pointer to the type, but could that be used with any_cast? like: template<class type> class typestuffPOD { typedef type value_type; type *datatype_; } This requires knowing the type when you want to use the any_cast. Iterators: harmless (but annoying) warnings in filter_iterator

My CFLAGS provoke two instances of the "'x' shadows a member 'this'" warning in filter_iterator constructors. [Test] minimal test

I attempted to use the minimal verision of boost test. In order to do this I replaced occurencs of #include <boost/test/exec_monitor.hpp> with #include <boost/test/minimal.hpp> This generates a few problems. a) In the tests which use the serialization DLL, It seems that references are being made to symbols in the library. Here is the output from the link. Using Spirit library for loading objects from XML

Hi * I am looking to implement some kind of persistence of objects using XML (only simple tags), and I'm wondering whether I can use Spirit library for that. For example, I have the following file: <MyAggregation SomeAttribute="value"> <MyAggregated>Some Value</MyAggregated> </MyAggregation> I know how to implement the parser for getting the structure, so that's not an issue. However, I need a second pass, through the extracted structure, in order to validate it and build the objects. Is this possible by using spirit, or do I have to implement my own library for that?
