I am rather new to Boost. I apologize in advance if I miss a protocol or two in the group. Please correct me. My group is considering using Boost for an application and some members have expressed concern over the performance of Boost serialization because a stack dump showed an excess of 100+ calls for a simple example shown below. Is there a good resource that shows the relative performance of Boost serializations? building and installing boost

I am trying to build and install boost libary on a laptop with OS Windows XP and Visual Studio.net and I am not sure its working as I am getting the following messages. Hi, I would like to do the following: multi_array<double,2> a(boost::extents [ extent_range(1,361)] [ extent_range(1,3)]); ... multi_array<double,2>::iterator i = std::find(a.begin(),a.end(),_1[2]==50.); That is, I want to find the row where the second column is 50. Since lambda can't be used like this, how would you propose I do this in a syntactically concise manner? Thanks Sohail

regex_match problem

I am trying to use regex to parse NMEA messages. I am new to regex and regular expressions in general, and am having problems getting regex_match to do what I want. The code below demonstrates the problem. CVS directories in tarballs

Hi Folks, Why are the CVS directories are excluded from the tarball? I think it would be useful to distribute them with anonymous cvs access settings because - someone might want to get the boost library but particularly interested in the latest additions of one specific library, - one could see what is new in a particular directory/file with a "cvs diff", - and it encourages bug-fixing. std::queue serialization

I am using the serialization library, and I need an interface to the std::queue class. Has anyone done this before? If I need to do it by hand, I could use a bit of guidance. I've tried to modify the deque.hpp provided, but without success. Thanks, Kyle
