additional boost libraries?

I, like billions of other developers, have a medium sized project that for various reasons, invented its own thread, io, etc libraries. I'm thinkin of switching over to boost stuff for all my utility needs, but I'm wondering if boost has/possibly will have/is open to the possibility of adding/ or will never have the following facilities: serialization/object persistance (via iostreams) network socket iostreams UUID stuff (sometimes know as GUIDs) interface to dlls/.so loading url parsing (something like the filesystem lib) and, just out of curiosity: xml/html parsing Thanks in advance. -- // scopira.org | ninjacoder.com //

[program_options] unicode_test regressions for CW8

Volodya, Did some more investigation and the basic reason for the failure is that the CW8 lexer doesn't do phase 1 translations of the universal character names. So for string like: L"--foo=\u044F", the "\u044F" is translated into 'u'+'0'+'4'+'4'+'F'. I wouldn't think this is interesting for the notes markup. I don't see that the above issue has any relationship at all with the question of notes markup. Regarding markup. As far as I can tell, there is no simple way to specify a note that a applies to all tests for a given toolset. E.G. All serialization tests that depend upon wide character i/o under gcc/cygwin as wide char i/o isn't supported there. E.G. All tests which depend up export on borland compilers fail. E.G. All tests for msvc which use more than one archive class in the same code module fail. These issues are addressed in the library documentation. I don't see an easy way to fit them into the notes system. Robert Ramey

I just finished cleaning up *all* occurrences of TABS and END-OF-LINE problems. Your next update will contain many file changes (all whitespace). And *PLEASE* to not introduce more of these errors. CW9 results

I think Aleksey forgot to mention: my CW column is for CW 9. I didn't have the time yet to investigate much but the results are quite common with the CW 8 results. However, the first dynamic_bitset test produces an ICE on CW9! Also the results for program_options seem to be interesting. Stefan
