if it's obsolete, it should be deleted from the source base. in the program, it is very clear what is okay to change and what is not. so as it is, it has problems and they should be fixed or it should be deleted. it is still referenced on the web site.

[QNX6][thread] Help with test failure please

Cross posted from 'testing' where it didn't get a response :-( I am experiencing a single failure in the tests for the thread library. The failure is at line 381 of condition.cpp. I have added limited tracing, enough to see that it is attempting six tests. The first five return ETIMEDOUT as expected. The sixth test returns EINVAL, which according to the QNX docs means - int pthread_cond_timedwait( pthread_cond_t* cond, pthread_mutex_t* mutex, const struct timespec* abstime ); ... EINVAL : One or more of the following is true: * One or more of cond, mutex and abstime is invalid. * Concurrent waits or timed waits on cond used different mutexes. * The current thread doesn't own mutex. Can anyone tell me what conditions prevail for the sixth test and where it is called from? Thanks Jim

The build script for jam puts the jam executable in a different place than is expected by run_test.sh. It adds the platform to the name and does not simply put it in bin.

I think that when it calls build.sh to optionally build jam, it should pass the toolset name. It knows the answer. There is no reason for build.sh to try and guess and it is guessing wrong on my machine due to a coincidental executable in the main path

Sometime shortly after 1.33.1 has been released it is my intention to make a patch kit available for QNX developers containing the files that did not quite make it into the release. I will also offer pre-built libraries for use on cross-development systems. The intention is to engage more QNX developers with a view to getting QNX6 adoped as an officially supported platform on the next release (presumably 1.34.0). Questions - 1. Does anyone have any comments about and/or objections to the above? 2. May I request a link under "Unofficial branch sites" to my web page? 3. Who is currently responsible for the Boost website? 4. Do I have permission to display the Boost logo on my pages? Thanks Jim Douglas
