Hi all, this is just a reminder for all interested people to possibly submit a review for the Fixed Strings library written by Reece Dunn. The review is half over and the response we've got by now is far from sufficient to allow to make a proper judgement. So please try to find some time and write about your findings here. It provides integration with the C API allowing strcpy, et. al. to be used safely for a fixed string and provides a basic_string interface allowing easy migration to C++ strings. There is also a formatter function object allowing (w)sprintf to be used in a single line! [parameter] Individually applying parameters.

Before I go writing a bunch of code... Is there a way to apply the parameters of an ArgumentPack individually to a function? What I need/want is to be able, through Boost.MPL, to apply each argument in the ArgumentPack to a single function based of the keyword type. For example: struct A { template <typename Keyword, typename Value> void SetArgument( Value & v ); }; template <typename ArgPack> void setter( A & a, ArgPack & p ) { // for each arg in p: // a.SetArgument<arg::key_type>(arg.value) } Or equivalent thereof, without knowing ahead of time what the possible argument keywords and values are. [ANN] xsd - open source XML Schema to C++ translator

Good day, I would like to announce the availability of xsd, a cross-platform, open source W3C XML Schema to C++ translator. Provided with an XML instance description (XML Schema), it generates C++ classes that represent the given vocabulary as well as parsing and serialization code: http://codesynthesis.com/products/xsd/ Compared to APIs such as DOM and SAX, the generated code allows you to access the information in XML instance documents using your domain vocabulary instead of generic elements, attributes, and text. Static typing helps catch errors at compile-time rather than at run-time. Automatic code generation frees you for more interesting tasks and minimizes the effort needed to adopt to changes in the document structure. xsd supports two C++ mappings: in-memory C++/Tree and event-driven C++/Parser. The C++/Tree mapping consists of C++ classes that represent data types defined in XML Schema, a set of parsing functions that convert XML instance documents to a tree-like in-memory data structure, and a set of serialization functions that convert the in-memory representation back to XML. Hi, We are just trying to use Asio (ver 0.3.6) w/ BOOST 1.33.1 and we have some troubles during the compilation of the serialization example, more precisely the file "connection.hpp" @ line 79 : "boost::bind can't deduced arguments..." I've tried to replace with boost::lambda::bind but without success... Is there any patch of this example with our C++ platform?
