A lost Sandbox file?

For the past few months, I always get this message: //======================================================================== cvs update: nothing known about boost-sandbox/libs/fields_visitor/doc/boostbook.css //======================================================================== whenever I update my CVS. I checked that directory and the CSS file doesn't exist (or, at least, not anymore). [mpl] preprocessed sources

Hi, I'm working around some issues in MPL with the evc4 (eMbedded Visual C++ 4) compiler. The compiler behaves just as a msvc6 one and includes files from "boost\mpl\aux_\preprocessed\msvc60\". In or_impl.hpp (and the same problem in and_impl.hpp) there is a defined for a templated "struct or_impl" and a specialisation for or_impl<false>::result_ after the struct. In evc4 the specialisation must be inside the class. The ..\msvc70\or.hpp implementation does this right for evc4. Now my question is how I should port the preprocessed sourcecode for evc4? Creating preprocessed files for evc4 somehow? Using the msvc70 files, given that it would work? Not using preprocessed files? I'm not familiar with this Boost library, I'm just porting it (as it gets used by many other libraries). bye Michael

evc4 porting questions

Hi, I'm currently trying to port Boost to evc4 and while porting some questions arised that should be answered before. 1. There are some parts of the sourcecode where Ansi Win32-API-functions are used, e.g. CreateFileA. These are not supported under Windows CE. Some projects provided workaround when BOOST_NO_ANSI_APIS is defined and called e.g. the CreateFileW function instead. The functions often use std::string as parameters, and so string converting must be done. Now my question: is there a "best practice" way to do string conversions in Boost? Boost.Thread in one place uses the A2CW macro that comes from the ATL header atlconv.h to do string conversion (file boost/libs/thread/src/once.cpp). I had to include the necessary files at the top of this file to get it to compile. Is this the way it should be done on systems where ATL is available? 2. There are some parts in sourcecode where I have to do system-specific code for Windows CE. What is the preferred way to do that, introduce a BOOST_xx macro or use the one that is already defined by the compiler (that would be _WIN32_WCE).
