[parameter] why are keywords non-const?

The BOOST_PARAMETER_KEYWORD(tag, name) macro expands, in part, to something like: keyword<tag::name> & name = ...; Shouldn't this be: keyword<tag::name> const & name = ...; ^^^^^ What is the reason for using a non-const ref here? These things are not mutable. In fact, it is causing me problems. [bgl] write_graphviz without vertex_id

Hello, I have a graph that does not have vertex_id. Each node in my graph might be uniquely identified, because I have a property map to some objects which have a unique id. However, when I try to write the graph to graphviz, it requires this vertex_id property. I bother me to add a vertex_id property to my graph just for this purpose, and I wonder if it could be possible to extend the write_graphviz in order to allow the user to customize the vertex id that is written in the dot file. question about new "export.hpp"

Dave, I've been running serialization tests of the current "HEAD" (1.35) version on my local machine. Right now All the tests which use the "export" functionality are failing when the tests are built and run in release mode. All tests (except one) pass when tests are built/run in debug mode. In particular the "test_exported" fails when built in release mode and passes with debug mode. I've made couple of seemingly unrelated changes on my local system so it IS possible that I broke something - but I'm wondering if perhaps you neglected to test the changes to "export" in release mode? Knowing this would be helpful to me. In the past I've have a lot of problems with this functionality to work with programs compiled in release mode. Robert Ramey

Objects of the parameters<> type are callable entities, but they do not play well with result_of: BOOST_PARAMETER_KEYWORD(tag, foo) typedef parameter::parameters< parameter::optional< tag::foo > > args_type; // Doesn't compile: typedef result_of< args_type( int const & ) >::type pack_type; args_type args; pack_type pack( args( 1 ) ); Is there any way to tell what the return type of args( 1 ) is? I need to be able to return an argument pack from a generic function. I have attached a simple server/client SSL program that demonstrates the "Access is denied" error on windows. The client eventually gets the error. It's quite possible I'm misusing the ASIO library, so please point out any errors you see. In the client, I have 2 threads. The main thread is the one that sends random messages to the server. The other thread handles all incoming responses and prints out the number of bytes received. Both threads share the same io_service. It is my understanding from the docs that multiple threads can all share an io_service, but please let me know if the code is incorrect. Thanks, Scott

Hi, I posted suggestions for improving the prim minimum spanning tree implementation a while ago[1]. This is a 'ping' mail to see if its possible to get further comments on how to progress forward.
