I posted the error here, because I think that this error indicates, that something wrong with design. I think that date_time library should define local_microsec_clock, not in terms of microsec_clock, but using an other class that is aware of time zone. Hi. Free function special_value_from_string is missing BOOST_DATE_TIME_DECL. This cause link error on windows, vc 7.1, while working with date time library as dll. ( boost version is 1.33.1 beta ) Thanks Roman Yakovenko

Boost.Iostreams - memory leak in zlib filter

Hi there, Just been tracking a memory leak that ended up coming out of the zlib filter. We're using the boost 1.32.0 with the last non integrated verison of iostreams from Jonathans website, I've integrated what appear to be fixes for this leak in the current cvs head but the leak was still there. It seems that line 383 in boost\iostreams\filter\zlib.hpp (cvs head version) should be void zlib_decompressor_impl<Alloc>::close() { reset(false, false); } instead of void zlib_decompressor_impl<Alloc>::close() { reset(false, true); } This makes the leak go away for me, does this seem right? cheers Martin

[1.33.1][test] missing include problem

Hi all, When compiling the 1.33.1 beta I noticed that a missing #include is causing a compilation problem: boost/test/impl/plain_report_formatter.ipp is missing a #include <ostream>. I'm using the Roguewave standard library, which often turns this kind of error up as its standard headers don't include quite the same set of files as gcc. Full MS compiler version info?

Installation of the final 8.0 (after beta 1 and 2) has caused me some confusion because the output build logs don't contain the full compiler version. For example using a post build event with the test suite, as recommended (- strongly see PS below) --build_info=yes includes this info: Platform: Win32 Compiler: Microsoft Visual C++ version 8.0 STL : Dinkumware standard library version 405 Boost : 1.33.0 The macro _MSC_FULL_VER is 140050215 looks like version 1400 build 50215 Would it be useful to decode in boost/config/compiler/visual.hpp this into version 8.0 and build 50215? (Or?) A new macro BOOST_COMPILER_BUILD ? So that various releases can be distingushed? Paul PS The post CMD.EXE was started with '\\hetp3\i$\boost_1_33_0\libs\test\build\msvc71_proj' as the current directory path. UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory. Running 5 test cases... Which misses showing the full log report that IS shown with an autorun (which is any case much more convenient and recommended by Gennadiy at /boost_1_33_0/libs/test/doc/usage/msvc_net.html etc I found a MS article http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=156276 about the message '<UNC path>' is an invalid current directory path. UNC paths are not supported. Defaulting to Windows directory. The article does not seem accurate and I have queried it with MS.
