Compiler Status page outdated?

http://www.boost.org/status/compiler_status.html looks like it is in need of some attention. The links pointing to http://boost.sourceforge.net/regression-logs/ all need to be changed to point at the meta-comm tables. The former view is wrong for most users, and many of the links on that page point to the wrong places, too. Also, the "how to read the tables" stuff describes a table format we're not really generating for most platforms. I hate to just complain, but I've never even edited the page, can't take the time to fix it right now, and don't know who might be responsible for it (if anyone). Review status page out of date?

http://www.boost.org/more/formal_review_schedule.html seems to me to be quite outdated, and maybe inconsistent, too (e.g. TR1 is under review now but it appears in the queue after policy_ptr, which hasn't been reviewed yet). This seems to be a recurring problem. I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to bring on a co-review-wizard to ease the administrative burden of this job, so the page would stay current? Therefore I would suggest to put a copy of "threadfunc" in the "thread_param" object (instead of a reference) and move it to the local variable in function "thread_proxy" via "threadfunc.swap()". There is however a very significant change in how GCC determines template ambiguity that was introduced between gcc-4.0.0 and gcc-4.0.1 Have a look at http://gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=12536 This changes the handling of template partial ordering to be compatible with C++ standard DR214. I'm not sure that it might not have introduced some other side effects. To determine this I would have to understand what the new text of the standard (with DR214) specifies. Why doesn't the following compile? I get the error "foo: function does not take 1 arguments" on VC8. #include <boost/call_traits.hpp> template < typename P1 > void foo ( typename ::boost::call_traits < P1 >::param_type p1 ) { } int main ( ) { foo ( 42 ); // error here return 0; } (Background info: I would like to use this technique to generate optimized forwarding functions that do not know anything about the function being forwarded to. Overloads taking any number of params would be generated with the boost preprocessor library.) -Jason

[typeof] can't find test results

Hello all, I have the problem that signal's default combiner last_value is OOTB only usable with non-empty signals, unless the return type is void.
