Attached is a simple testcase. Just run 'jam -j2' and you can notice that target 'g2.generated' is been used before it is updated (created). The testcase has just 2 rules - 'Gen' models generating 2 files which are used by 'Use'. The testcase doesn't actually create any files, but that doesn't matter. Jam works with targets, not files. The last line in the Jamfile is a workaround. If you uncomment it, the test works fine. I spent some time trying to find the reason and to fix the bug, but succeed only in the first part. I can discuss it in more details with someone interested in fixing it. Hi, In the months leading up to the publication of Dave's and Aleksey's TMP book, there was a discussion of the proper form for referring to Boost libraries in published material. I'm writing about Boost.Build, and I'm planning to refer to it as Boost.Build most of the time. My question is: if I refer to Boost.Build as "the Boost build system," is this a proper name or a description? How should it be capitalized? Jonathan

The problem comes because serialization shared_ptr_132.hpp and the 'real' shared_ptr cannot be mixed on this compiler. I suspect this is an issue with using directives inside namespaces in shared_ptr_132, but am investigating further. -- AlisdairM

I've been browsing the reference.rst file in the CVS tree. Is there a difference between "Keyword Tuple" and "Argument Tuple"? If not, then I believe "Argument Map" be a better name, since some of the expression semantics (and their runtime complexities) are similar to those of a map. Accordingly, I would change "Index Expression" to "Keyword Expression" and "Index Default Expression" to "Keyword Default Expression". A person reading "Index Expression" for the first time might think it was a specialized "Integral Constant Expression". Let me know if I'm missing anything. Cromwell D.
