Hi, I've heared of the ublas-binding to lapack, which sounds very good. Thus I tried to install it, but I didn't succeed. I got boost-sandbox using cvs. Then I went to the boost-sandbox directory and did a bjam. But I got this: libs\numeric\blasbindings\tst\Jamfile: No such file or directory libs\numeric\blasbindings\tst\Jamfile: No such file or directory don't know how to make <@boost-sandbox!libs!numeric!bindings!amos>amos.cpp ...found 227 targets... ...updating 34 targets... ...can't find 1 target... ...can't make 5 targets... MkDir1 bin I am using Visual Studio.NET Prof. 2003. I'd love to try the ublas-bindings, so can anybody help me installing it? Anything else I have to take care of once the bindings work (e.g. link to clapack or so)? -- Franz

Or is it a >general health issue? It's a (one?) very bizarre error building of the libraries(2). This prevents running of any tests. mpl::at_c as lambda

Hi Is it possible to make mpl::at_c lambda-able? For example, the following (dumb) code works as I would expect, but changing "at<_, int_<0> >" at // XXX to "at_c<_, 0>" does not. Uncaught exception in testfacet_dll

I'm getting a "stop the script" error when running the test for testfacet_dll (VC7.1) it pops up a requestor telling me the program terminated unexpectedly, and (unfortunately) waits for a human reply (which causes my scheduled run to stop after 4 hours (it starts at 0300 local)), so I'm not getting the rest of the tests run. [test] Broken Jamfile or missing files?

When I run the regression tests on Linux I get a couple errors from the test library: don't know how to make boost_regression1/boost/libs/test/test/result_report_test.pattern don't know how to make boost_regression1/boost/libs/test/test/errors_handling_test.pattern Is the Jamfile broken or are there some files that need to be checked in? Jeff ps: This has been like this for at least the last 2-3 days....

I'm looking at this and one of the basic problems is that you seem to assume a variety of things are available in the global namespace, specifically size_t and other std types. Those are easy to fix by specifying std::size_t. But I do have some questions... 1. Is using an unqualified size_t your intention? And therefore something else is broken? 2. There is a similar problem with mbstate_t, but in this case you attempt to do something special to handle it (from boost/archive/codecvt_null.hpp): #if BOOST_WORKAROUND(__BORLANDC__, <= 0x564) #ifndef _RWSTD_NO_NAMESPACE using std::codecvt; using std::min; #ifdef _RWSTD_NO_MBSTATE_T using std::mbstate_t; #endif #endif #elif defined(__COMO__) || defined(_MSC_VER) && _MSC_VER <= 1300 || defined(__BORLANDC__) typedef ::mbstate_t mbstate_t; #elif defined(BOOST_NO_STDC_NAMESPACE) typedef std::mbstate_t mbstate_t; namespace std{ using ::codecvt; } // namespace std #endif And then you go ahead to use an unqualified mbstate_t. This just doesn't work for CW. And I don't see how this would work for any library runtime that puts mbstate_t only in the std namespace. While your looking at CW, might you find the time to look a little bit into the serialization library build problems. The error message is pretty bizarre so I don't think it can be addressed without having CW installed on ones machine. Thanks, Robert Ramey
