Interest in tensor library?

Greetings, I have developed a C++ tensor library using template expressions which allows Einstein summation convention to be used to describe mathematical operations on tensors in C++. This allows a great simplification in syntax, while retaining execution speeds identical to hand optimized C code in most cases. There are lots of other interesting features but I don't wish to make this email too long. As far as efficency, Intel's compiler builds every example I've tried so far into code as good as doing the work by hand. GCC does so for expressions of reasonably complexity, and MSVC's optimizer does alright, but not nearly as well as the others. I was interested in knowing what the interest level of providing such a library as part of boost would be. I've tried to adhere to the boost coding guidelines during the construction. I've been using this library for over 6 months myself for scientific computing. However, I've so far avoiding sending a query to the boost mailing lists as the procedures for submission and review seem quite daunting. I'm usually crushingly busy, and I'm also especially bad at documentation. Still, I thought I would float the idea to guage interest, and also ask if anyone would be interested in helping me through the process somewhat. Thank you for you time. -Jeremy Bruestle

We are teachers, experience users, native English speakers and artists. We want to offer our help to Boost authors to improve their documentation. * How to get helped Just send an email to the boost-docs list with your request. We will do our best to help you. * How to help Add yourself as a proofreader, a translator or in the general section if you have others ideas that Boost authors may find useful. The main objective of this new resource is to act as the main connection between Boost authors and some of IBD folks that are eager to help them. We hope this will make healthier the relation between Boost authors and our project. Authors will get helped, and have more time to improve and add new features to their libraries. We will get in touch with you and hopefully learn enough to become a boost author someday. It is a win-win situation. Hi, Because of network problem, what I had is a snapshot of CVS-HEAD-07-06-29-0909. If this bug is corrected/reported before, please ignore. in the file /boost/interprocess/mapped_region.hpp line 467, followed is a snip ============================================== //Check for fixed mapping error if(address && (m_base != (void*)address)){ error_info err = system_error_code(); this->priv_close(); // bug here throw interprocess_exception(err); } ============================================== because adjusting mapping address to page size granularity, which may cause m_extra_offset != 0. in mapped_region::priv_close::munmap will restore address with m_base and m_extra_offset. But at line 467, m_base did not be adjusted (it's adjusted at line 472), when priv_close() invoked, we got a wrong address to munmap. I think it affect windows version too (same file at line 309). one possible correction: move line 472~474 to 463 (*nix version). move line 314 to 305 (windows version). Best Regards, Wilbur Lang
