For example, on g++ gives : FN5boost5units10length_tagEvE FN5boost5units2SI6systemEvE for typeid(length_tag()).name() typeid(SI::system()).name() If these could be hashed into a long int, that would be all we needed. Probably would involve very non-portable code, but it might be supportable on a few of the major compilers... I thought C++ name mangling was supposed to be standardized... > I would probably sort by dimension first to make checking the > dimensions easier. The way I'm envisioning it, any dimension typelist <S1,T11,P11>...<S1,T1N,P1N><S2,T21,P21>...<S2,T2M,P2M><S3,T31,P31>...<S3 ,T3L,P3L> would split into three typelists that are equivalent to the dimension<>::type typelist we construct now. These could then be treated separately, and appended afterwards. Since no inter-system conversion happens in the operators, I think that's all that would happen. [1.34.0] Fixing failures

At the moment, the only testing infrastructure issue affecting regression results that I'm aware of is intel-linux-9.0 results in Sandia's results. This is not a blocker, since the same toolset is present in Martin's results, and is all green. Other failures look more like problems with libraries, compilers and their interaction, and that's something only library authors can solve. We talked about setting two-week period for addressing remaining failures. Two weeks from now is March 1. I would appreciate if library authors look at failures in their libraries and try to have them fixed by that date. On March 1, I'll mark all failures that are present as expected. It would be reasonable to declare complete code freeze at the same date. When changing anything in code, please post a patch to the list, so that everybody knows what changes are being done. Also, please refrain from committing anything to RC branch that is neither fix for a reported failure, nor a doc-only change. Thanks, Volodya

[1.34.0] Sandia test results

At the moment, we have two results for intel-linux-9.0 -- from Martin and from the Sandia test runner. The former are all green. The latter have a number of failures. Noel, it appears that you're trying to pass -j4 option to bjam. That does not work, because the regression reporting system has no way to separate output for different tests. On the other hand, I'm not sure how -j4 can lead to failures Looking at: http://tinyurl.com/2a45wj and http://tinyurl.com/323fb6 it seems that build dates for compilers are different. For Martin, it's 20050809 and for Noel it's 20060222. I don't quite understand how the same compiler version has different build dates. Noel, do you have any ideas? - Volodya

I am trying to write a new type that covers some of the Graph concepts. I seem to be able to get most of the concepts covered except the PropertyGraph concept. I am having trouble figuring out the various types that are required (e.g., for property_map, etc.). Are there any straightforward examples of types that cover PropertyGraph and allow arbitrary (i.e., templated) types to be the vertex and edge properties? Thanks for your help. Cheers, Brook
