AFAICT the name ftag should be changed to something more descriptive
and more certainly unique, e.g. boost_fusion_iterator_tag. Is there
a reason it needs to be so short?

I've taken the liberty of applying the patch at the end of this post to
thread.cpp.
When I was doing some work with boost::thread, I had to remove the
catch(...) in my local copy because testing was a nightmare. Since then,
I've been getting the M before thread.cpp every time I did a cvs update. The
discussion about this catch(...) clause didn't end with a definitive
decision one way or the other, so... let me be the one who actually does
something about it. :-)

to the normal diff, i.e. the first line is what was added the second is
what was removed. I'm sorry that's the way my source control's diff

First of all, what concerns me is that the warning is not correct.
Nevertheless we can easily make the warning go away by applying the
patch in attachment (which semantically has no effect at all).
I would therefore like to ask if it would be OK to apply the patch in
