inspection report complains about *LC* in generated HTML files

Hi all. The inspection report is complaining about *LC* in a generated file -- doc/html/typeof.html (as well as some other HTML files in this directory). I wonder how this issue should be addressed. The licence/copyright info is supplied to the quickbook, and appears in the visual representation of the document. Maybe quickbook should also generate the license/copyright comment for the HTML file itself? Regards, Arkadiy

The attached patch corrects this behaviour by initialising the type object using PyType_Ready(). Furthermore I implemented cross module support in so far as the converter registers itself only if not another module already has registered the same converter before. The opaque test case has been update to check for the segmentation fault mentioned in my previous post. A test case for the cross module support is included (crossmod_opaque). I also updated the documentation for opaque. I tested my patch with - GCC-4.1 running on GNU/Linux 2.6.16.21-0.13-default x86_64 - Visual-C++-6.5 running on Windows XP - Visual-C++-7.1 running on Windows XP The patch is applied by calling patch -p1 < opaque_patch in the root of the boost hierarchy. BOOST_DLLEXPORT in serialization

I just tried compiling some source code in Microsoft VS 2005, with /clr turned on. It turned up the following error: boost/serialization/void_cast_fwd.hpp(26) : error C3389: __declspec(dllexport) cannot be used with /clr:pure or /clr:safe It appears that BOOST_DLLEXPORT, defined in boost/serialization/force_include.hpp, is always defined to __declspec(export). This is surely incorrect, is it not? The reason I bring this up is that it resolved a mysterious build "issue" I'd been having ever since I started using serialization (which occurs with native code generation on VC++): even though I only used serialization in an executable (i.e., the source got compiled to a .exe), the compiler was also producing an import library and export file, as it would for a DLL! I am guessing that this is due to the fact that functions are being "exported" from the executable via BOOST_DLLEXPORT. Sure enough, if I removed serialization from my source code, the exp and lib files disappeared. While this might only be slightly annoying, I can't help but think that the semantics of __declspec(dllexport) within a non-DLL are undefined at best. I don't know enough about the serialization library to understand this problem in enough detail to offer an alternative.

Dear Boost community, a new version of the FunctionTypes candidate library has been uploaded to the vault: http://tinyurl.com/qaf5f What's new (compared to the last "official" version, not the preview)? ====================================================================== - The interface, - the documentation, - the test-suite, - carefully picked and inline-documented source code examples, - the code generator for preprocessed files is entirely written on top of Wave, - the preprocessed files and the configuration (up to a certain extent) are compiler-agnostic, - the preprocessed files do not have to be regenerated for custom configurations, unless for optimization (and changing the library code, of course), and - the library is default calling convention-agnostic, OIW the default calling convention can be changed and detected without changing the library's configuration (unless for MSVC<8 due to the lack of a 'thiscall' keyword) Unless there are any objections from the review manager regarding the fitness of the submission, we can put the library back on the review schedule -- my apologies for it took so long, BTW. [fusion] matrix?

Hi Boosters, Is it possible to use fusion to do a compile time matrix? The code below uses boost::tuple, but presumably fusion could do this stuff better? Things that might be useful include get column N, get cofactor<R,C> etc, etc. Might be an interesting example for fusion, but I don't know ...
