The build process failed at the very early stage.
The STLport library is configured to use Boost.
It seems that some includes are in the wrong order in either lib.

The following MSDN article treats the issue of invalid characters
in filenames:

A simple cpp program also throws on this simple issue. For example,
with a question mark:

The value returned is ERROR_INVALID_NAME == 123L from winerror.h
However, boost::filesystem::path::windows_name does not have a problem
with a question mark or asterisk. Also, the implementation seems to
attempt to validate any name unless it has these characters whereas it
could use a "valid list" like the unix implementation does. A missing
character from the valid list will probably be an inconvenience but not
as much of a problem as a missing character from the invalid list. My
guess is that an implementation that wishes to support Unicode characters
will need to use the GetStringTypeW or IsCharAlphaNumeric functions to
determine if a letter is an alphanumeric character. Perhaps it is best to
use an implementation that runs "CreateFile(filename, GENERIC_READ, 0, NULL,
OPEN_EXISTING, 0, 0)" and checks the error code for ERROR_INVALID_NAME to
decide if it is a valid filename or not.

When compiling the example programs for dynamic_bitset with MSVC++ 8.0,
I get the following message:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Visual Studio 8\VC\INCLUDE\xutility(2841) :
warning C4996: 'std::_Fill_n' was declared deprecated
and an exhortation to use the "Safe Standard C++ Library".
As my first task as dynamic_bitset's maintainer, I want to modify it to
not trigger this warning. Unfortunately, unlike most of the other
functions that trigger this warning which have _s alternatives, the only
alternative to std::fill_n I could find is MS's "safe" version in their
standard library extension. There's a preprocessor switch I can set,
(_CRT_SECURE_NO_DEPRECATE) but I believe it has to be set globally, as
it seemed to have no effect when I included it in dynamic_bitset.hpp.
Does this affect any other libraries? Am I missing anything? What is
the best way to solve this?

In Boost 1.33.1, needed references to the Python
numeric module are missing when Boost is compiled on
Windows under Msys using MinGW. A colleague gave me the
following arcane workaround:
