Thanks to Niall who also volunteered. :-) With respect to Niall's request for compile time and run time measurements, I've added a benchmark https://github.com/pdimov/variant2/blob/develop/benchmark/benchmark1.cpp and the results from compiling and running it on my machine are at https://github.com/pdimov/variant2/blob/develop/benchmark/benchmark1.md This is not a cherry-picked example that makes variant2 look good, so it loses to std::variant here and there. :-)

I am trying to write a grammar based code but can't seems to find starting point. Is there anything I should go through first. Grammar based . All the functions are written in string formats by user and parsed into binary at runtime and are able to use that function.

[release][multi_index] Permission to merge to master

I'm asking permission to merge the following fairly trivial changes to master: https://github.com/boostorg/multi_index/compare/bbb915bd344463ba767aebe7988… Travis and AppVeyor tests are passing. BTW, the conditions for allowed commits at this release stage ("closed for major changes") are not clear to me. Do I really need to ask for permission if the change (as is this case) is deemed minor? I have good experience in C++ programming and image processing algorithms and I am currently working on image processing and deep learning projects using convolutional neural networks. Hello, I am Arnav Tiwari, a sophomore year undergraduate student of IIT Kharagpur. I am interested in working on Boost.GIL. I have prior experience in image processing and C++ so I feel I will be able to pick up the project and get to work quickly. Review request for variant2, review manager wanted

I'd like to request a formal Boost review for the Variant2 library, https://github.com/pdimov/variant2. Variant2 contains an implementation of a variant<T...> type that is an almost conforming std::variant, except it doesn't require C++17 and supports C++11 and above. It's also never valueless and has a few other extensions. The same library also contains an expected<T, E...> type, which is like the proposed std::expected<T, E>, but supports more than one error type. expected<> is not yet production-ready and has no test suite, but I will finish it if the library is accepted. The documentation for the variant<T...> class is at https://pdimov.github.io/variant2/index.html. If anyone would like to step forward to manage the review, please do.
