[uBLAS] Strange behaviour of LAPACK binding for SVD drivers
by Peter Melchior 12 Sep '05

12 Sep '05

Hello, I'm using LAPACK + bindings to do a Singular Value Decomposition of uBLAS matrices. For inverting a matrix, I need the U and the Vt matrix calculated explicitly. But whatever I give as Jobu and Jobvt, only the Vt matrix will be calculated correctly; the U matrix has only correct diagonal elements. I've tried the Jobu = 'A' setting for gesvd and the Jobz = 'A' setting for gesdd with exactly the same results as JobX = 'O'. I'm using the ublas bindings from CVS (checkout: last Friday, 09.09.2005). Can anybody give me a hint, what might go wrong here. Best regards, Peter

TST container (ternary search tree)
by Jose 11 Sep '05

11 Sep '05

Hi, There is a TST implementation in boost/spirit/symbols/impl/tst.ipp and the code mentions "this is a low level class and is not meant for public consumption" I found some old messages in the mailing list describing an effort to package the TST separately of spirit . What is the status of such effort ? thanks Jose

Should we kill the YahooGroups files area?
by Doug Gregor 10 Sep '05

10 Sep '05

We have a *much* better solution now, so why not just kill off our YahooGroups ancestry and move on? We could archive what's left in the YahooGroups section by year and make it available in the new vault... Doug

Hi, Can you add to boost::filesystem namespace class for temporary files which will remove file on object destruction ? I prepared same sample code : http://psycho.pl/pub/src/tmpfile.cc If you say that this is ok, I will write it using boost library and also working on win32. Thanks Tom
