DocBook local XSL stylesheets
by Edward Diener 29 Nov '04

It appears that the DocBook local XSL stylesheets at the DocBook SourceForge site only has a setup for Unix/Linux systems, not Windows. If this is the case, it should be mentioned in BoostBook documentation.

DocBook DTD distribution
by Edward Diener 29 Nov '04

29 Nov '04

In the DocBook documentation for Boost for configuring local XSL and DTD distributions it says that the DocBook DTD is at the OASIS DocBook site at http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.2/index.shtml . However clicking this link gets a Resource not found message on the Oasis web site. However using http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.2 works for me, and http://www.oasis-open.org/docbook/xml/4.2/docbook-xml-4.2.zip is the actual zip file. Perhaps the document needs updating.

Would you mind changing it in the Wiki? As I said, I cannot do it myself. Thanx! Joaquín M López Muñoz Telefónica, Investigación y Desarrollo

To me, it seems more like the Tetris game, but this connotation stuff is so tricky. Anyway, I've just forged anoher idea. Not that I like it much, but the idea is a little different and might please some --sort of ++ breaking the barrier of sound or something. BTW, I cannot edit the Boost Wiki, my usr or ip is blocked (??) I think it's gotta do with the fact I'm behind a corporate proxy. So, if some kind soul could upload this stuff for me I'd be eternally grateful. Joaquín M López Muñoz Telefónica, Investigación y Desarrollo

Compile problem with como-win32
by Brian Riis 28 Nov '04

28 Nov '04

Given: C:\src\workspace\boost>bjam "-sTOOLS=como-win32" "-sCOMO_BACKEND=dig" "-sCOMO_BACKEND_PATH=c:\dm" --with-python-root=c:\python24 stage I'd expect the build-process to start, using Digital Mars as backend. Boost.Jam tries to call c:\dm\..\Common7\Tools\vsvars32 and set COMO_MS_INCLUDE to c:\dm\include. Clearly it somehow thinks that it should setup for a VC7 backend, although it *does* correctly issue "como --dig ..." to compile. What's happening? -- /Brian Riis

Please find attached a variaton of that based on my proposal --admittedly not as simple, but well, I though I'd drop it here to know people's opinions. Alternate Logo Design

Incidentally, my quick take on the ones I was able to view: the rocket ones were mostly really well done, but mostly way over-busy, as well. There was one that was sufficiently close to mine that they could likely be combined; might try that tonight. The Text ones were okay, but lifeless. The square braces didn't work for me, mostly, save for perhaps the one that formed a split-C (and someone had to point that out to me before I realized that was what it was). Reid
