A fork seems like a negative value-add, especially if it involves a reliance on paid staff engineers to provide support. A v2 of Asio would be a better project. Asio pioneered quite a bit, and there's a more simple and direct library hiding underneath. I would also not say that Asio is the most valuable Boost library. Also, Asio can work with other TLS implementations fine. There's no need to fork Asio for the sake of using an alternative TLS implementation. - Christian
