And that's exactly what the --layout=system option was meant to do. It wasn't meant as a substitute for packaging. And was design with feedback from the Boost RedHat package maintainer.
Excellent ! I hope every potential packager will be aware of the option for it to be most useful. The documentation should have a page specifically addressed at potential packagers that discusses the required steps. Regards, Stefan
