Is the idea of the fork to accept pull requests that upstream ASIO ignored?
A definite NO! The purpose of the fork is to track Asio as closely as possible (maybe even with no changes) and yet have responsive issues, pull requests, and improved documentation. For example, is Chris going to switch to Asciidoc? Is Chris going to use Mr. Docs? Who knows! Someone should ask him (and don't hold your breath for a reply). We don't even know if Chris is going to use the new system for reporting changes in the next release. Meaningful innovation is NOT a goal of this fork. If someone wants to write a competitor to Asio with redesigned APIs, I would be supportive of that, and this fork is not that. Thanks
