I would like to measure the interest in a fork of Asio, proposed as a Boost library for review.
As a long time user of boost and asio (since boost 1.33), i would like to give some insight on my side: 1) It is used by me in personal and professional projects. Its used because it offers tcp/http/serial and unix sockets. 2) Would always use what boost offers as it is pretty well supported (most times) and also offered by basicly all linux distris. 3) I think that the API of asio is relativly well known. It is complex for users too. Especially when i need to explain it to new programmers in the company which dont have so much expierence wich asio and c++. As we all know: C++ is expert friendly. So is in my opinion also asio. Bye Georg
