This is false. Boost is very useful and becoming more so with every release, in no small part thanks to the continual evolution of its flagship libraries such as Asio and also for the new libraries which have innovated beyond the standard library such as Boost.Unordered, Boost.Hash2, Boost.Bloom. Many such examples exist. Contrary to your point, Boost is more useful than ever and fills in the growing number of gaps left open by the C++ Standard.
