[boost] Pointer variant

In my code, I use variants with only pointers type as bounded types. Mainly a plain pointer to a type and one or more smart pointers to this same type. Would a derived variant that would be dereferencable if all of it's bounded type also are of interest for Boost.Variant library? Would anyone be willing to implement it?
