We seem to be getting more than the usual amount of spam on the Trac recently, I've deleted quite a few, but I bet there are others I haven't seen. Latest is https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/ticket/10358 Anyone any ideas for blocking these guys? Thanks, John.

I delete that one.. If there are other please point them out so we can delete them. Other than reporting the entry as spam to Askimet the only other thing we can do is add to our content filter at < https://svn.boost.org/trac/boost/wiki/BadContent>. Any matching regex in that list will get spam treatment. On Fri, Aug 15, 2014 at 2:51 AM, John Maddock <jz.maddock@googlemail.com> wrote:

How is it that spammers can see the captcha when regular users can't? (Mind you, it's been a few months since I last [unsuccessfully] tried to use Trac; maybe that's been fixed in the interim.)

I don't know.. The problem is that when I've tried to replicate the issue it's worked for me. Which might boil down to having the right browser, or OS, or whatever the interwebs wants these days. Trust me.. It's frustrating from all points of view :-( Especially my view that thinks the anti-spam measures should not be needed. -- -- Rene Rivera -- Grafik - Don't Assume Anything -- Robot Dreams - http://robot-dreams.net -- rrivera/acm.org (msn) - grafikrobot/aim,yahoo,skype,efnet,gmail

Anybody considered whether just using GitHub's issue tracker is worth it? There's really not much value to using Trac anymore now that all the libraries are now in GitHub.
