+1. Aside from the other benefits mentioned: What benefits exactly? I don't think anyone has mentioned any benefits of dropping the second form at all at all. This isn't an "either or" question - currently both versions are supported. So why exactly should one be dropped? We have talked a lot about Modularization, but little about the original question.
