Comment:

Wide character support has now been in Boost.Filesystem for several
releases. It was merged into the main trunk in December of 2005. That
implies Unicode for many, but not all compilers.

Support for Unicode wide characters is also somewhat dependent on C++ and
the C++ standard library. C++0x will include a number of improvements to
 better support Unicode.
