An example is IBM Visual Age.
Possible solutions are one or more of the following:
1. Provide a macro which when defined suppresses the restrict() function
2. Provide an alias restrict_()
3. Provide an alias xxx() where xxx is a good descriptive name
4. Rename restrict()
