Comment:

 I notice that with the trunk tests Darwin seems to build and test OK.  In
 this case, it seems that the environment lacks support for wide
 characters.  This is really a build system question and not something that
 I (the library author) would be able to address.  BJAM, band Jamfiles are
 a total mystery to me.
