I am attempting to create a type that conforms to IoControlCommand to pass
to the io_control member function in the socket classes.
The compilation fails due to a missing expression a.get(). It's not clear
from the documentation what this expression should return.
I've encountered this on Linux and Mac OS X and various versions of g++
4.x
