 I've read [http://aspn.activestate.com/ASPN/Mail/Message/boost/1148757 the
 thread] but I'm afraid that after all these years I don't know what I had
 in mind for this fix anymore. Things shouldn't be allowed to sit in the
 tracker this long; I apologize to all. In the meantime, closing this bug.
 If anyone wants to reopen a discussion about what's needed, I'll be happy
 to take another look.
