Comment(by johan):

 Hi,

 This feature would be really useful. I would like to use the
 zlib_compressor and be able to flush without closing the stream. I am
 currently using the zipstream library by Jonathan de Halleux which does
 have a flush operation which can be called multiple times (lowering the
 compression ratio). Is there any news on this feature request?

 Thanks
