Comment:

 Grrr...

 I decided to hold with V2 as the default for 1.45, and totally forgot to
 do anything about the index pages.

 I've updated the index pages in trunk, and sent copies to Rene to post on
 the web site.

 The trunk has also been updated to make V3 the default.
