Yes, there is the difference.
When wchar_t is defined as unsigned short, your solution still treat
wchar_t as unsigned short.
But my solution will treat it as the wchar_t, notice that I will call bool
operator>>(wchar_t& output) { return shr_xchar(output); } in the case.
