 This issue has not been raised with Microsoft.  It would be great if
 someone could contact the proper authorities on this matter.  Also, I'm
 quite busy right now, and 1.49 is all but out the door, so a fix will
 likely have to wait for 1.50.  If you could propose a patch against the
 current release branch based on the code in the trunk,  that would be
 helpful.
