 Lexical cast has optimizations for almost all basic input types (char*,
 signed char*, unsigned char*, std::string, std::wstring, char, int,
 ...)[[BR]]
 Are you just requesting an additional overload with (const char*, size_t)
 parameters?[[BR]]
