Comment:

 The permissions() function has been added. The functionality is limited,
 but creating a full permissions and access control abstraction that would
 cover both Windows and POSIX systems just isn't happening.

 If anyone can come up with such an abstraction, with implementation and
 test cases, I'd be very happy to add it to Boost.Filesystem.
