 My GLIBC version goes up to 3.4.16. Other details of my system are:

 libboost_filesystem.so.1.49.0 [[BR]]

 gcc version 4.6.1 (Ubuntu/Linaro 4.6.1-9ubuntu3)[[BR]]

 Ubuntu 11.10 [[BR]]

 Linux 3.1.0-1-amd64 [[BR]]

 strings /usr/lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libstdc++.so.6 | grep GLIBCXX | grep
 3.4.16[[BR]]

 GLIBCXX_3.4.16
