I managed to reproduce the error, after I upgraded to Kubuntu 14.04 and
tried to compile Boost with -march=native on a Sandy Bridge machine. The
patch I attached earlier does not help. For now I have no further ideas
how to work it around and make -march=native work, the issue has to be
fixed in gcc.
Considering that even when the compilation succeeds (i.e. -march=native is
not used) the resulting binaries are incorrect, I'll document gcc LTO as
unsupported.
