Comment (by andysem):

 Defining these macros makes the resulting binaries only runnable on CPUs
 with the respective instructions supported. This is ok if you target your
 application to these more recent CPUs, but in general SSE3 and later are
 not required to be present in Intel64/AMD64 CPUs.
