Comment:

 Duplicates #9766.

 LTO is not supported, I believe, until gcc 5 (I did not check), which
 attaches the necessary target attributes to functions automatically. I see
 no point in marking functions specifically for 4.9. Marking functions is
 not possible for pre-4.9 gcc releases.
