I haven't verified the actual code of the develop branch, but I've made
the same change to the 1.60 code and it does fix the crash. Looking at the
commit, I assume that corresponding changes would need to be made in
make_x86_64_ms_pe_gas.asm and make_i386_ms_pe_masm.asm?
