 if you do:

 boost::system::error_code ec;

 path myPath =
 canonical(path("\\\\mynetworkmachine\\somepath\\somefile.txt"),ec);

 ec.m_val will be 161

 Additionally, it does not throw an exception when using the exception form
 of the call.
