 boost/crc.hpp from boost github has a number of changes since at least 22
 Dec 2011 that have not been included in any official boost release (up to
 at least Boost 1.65).

 Changes include useful corrections to errors in defining crc types
 (commits c0a10f5 and 328bf50).
