I don't think you quite got it fixed correctly. Now when I run jam 
on my libs/thread/test/Jamfile the runtime-link-dynamic subvariant 
build targets fail to link, and inspecting the generated .CMD files 
reveals that the import library being linked is the runtime-link-
static subvariant.
