test-development merge plans?

I'm having mixed luck running Boost regression tests with 
boost-root/status/Jamfile. Stuff that worked one day has path problems the 
next day.

Part of the difficulty may be version clashes caused my use of the 
"test-development" branch. I'm thinking that once it gets merged into the 
main trunk, more people will be using the code so it will stabilize 
faster. Or if others are reporting good results, I'll know my own setup 
here is at fault?

Thus I'm wondering if there is a plan to merge "test-development" anytime 
soon?

Unrelated issue: Why does boost-root/Jamfile "subinclude status ;"? Isn't 
the resulting regression test something that is only of interest to 
developers, and something that end-users wouldn't want to be bothered with?
