Thanks for the implementation. From looking at it I could not find
omissions or obvious bugs.

It seems like I am a bit picky about names.

First for my name the correct short form would be Tom, though I
prefer to be called Thomas. Don't take this to seriously Tom is
fine, I just don't like Tim.

Second for the feature. I don't like basis. If we want something
like base we should take the more common base. This is less
irritating for the user.

As nobody objected to my arguments against prototype, I would like
to take it from the list of possible names. This leaves us with
template and base. I have to admit I am still in love with template.
Dave you said that base can be used as it is not overloaded in boost
build. The same argument applies to template.

I really mean "Vorlage" in german and looking this up in my favorite
online dictonary gives amongst others model and template and not
base. From its usage in developer language template seems more
appropriate to me.

To cut a long story short. This was my last attempt to push
template. I will accept either template or base. I cast my vote
for template. If your votes will give a majority for base it is fine
with me.

I'll have a look at the documentation. It might take 4-5 days.
