As far as I know there is nothing else to do. The header stuff was another
convenience to eliminate the multiple places where we have a version number.
Take a look at the distribution.jam on how to use it. But it's up to you and
Beman to decide wether to use it or not. For that matter we don't need to
the .so nameing either if it causes problems for the release.
