Hi Toon,
are you sure debug-symbols are really needed? I've used profing without 
debug symbols, only by not stripping the resuling
binary. That is, everything works when I comment out the line

flags gcc LINKFLAGS <debug-symbols>off : -s ;

in gcc-tools.jam

Anyway, we can't solve this problem optimally now.
